A hearty tribute to the selfless souls.

Non-governmental organisation (NGO) is a voluntary group or institution with a social mission, which operates independently from the government.
The issues addressed by NGOs run the gamut of human concerns (e.g., human rights, environmental protection, disaster relief, and development assistance), and the scope of their activities may be local, national, or international.
Each year World NGO day is celebrated on February 27th.
"The universal concept of the World NGO Day is to Celebrate, Commemorate and Collaborate - the various NGOs around the world and the people behind them that contribute to society all year around."
Being a social worker is no joke.
You never know what kind of situations, rescues and people one might have to encounter.
It is even fair to say that they are risking their lives to an extent for the wellness of others.
Of course like any other good thing, NGOs and social workers are not given the credit that they deserve.
This is your sign to acknowledge anyone you know that works towards the betterment of the world around us without any personal agenda.

On a personal note, I would like to take the chance to appreciate one of my role models or rather mentor I would call, Dr. Devasitham Mani. He is a devoted man of God and a social worker. He works at a reputed NGO in Chennai. The amount of strength that it takes- both physically and mentally, to travel so much and be away from family, into difficult situations is immense. He is a true inspiration to a number of people without a doubt. He is also a key in shaping who I am as a person, also I have the privilege of calling him 'Anna' *insert proud face emoji*. I am forever grateful to you Anna and have the utmost respect for the work that you do for the world and for the kingdom of God.

  1. He is indeed a man of nobility who I look up to as well. Here's to all those heroes who are so selfless that they go out of their way to help the people in need. They are doing God's work.

He does not want a Perfectionist.

The time has come to revive the undead... Well, HELLO! There is a high chance that nobody remembers this blog (even I have forgotten, lol). I have been wanting to start blogging again for quite some time now- like the hundred other things I have been  wanting  to do. However, something I came across - which I will share in later blogs - gave me the prompt to put my thoughts into action.  In a time of reflection this morning, I was pondering what went wrong along the way. I used to be able to do things. I used to get work done, but now all I do is cut a sorry figure for myself and self-loathing. One thing that I was able to bring to my attention is that if I do something, I try to do it properly or not do it at all. What seemed like a good habit initially became the very thing that started pulling me down. At first, it made me more conscious of what happens if the things that I drive do not reach a good place. Then Procrastination joined the ride, along with Self-doubt, wh...

A day in the greens

Soothing breeze caressing the face Right through the back of the brain Eyes roll back in calmness Lost in a different world amidst the noises Silhouette of a hill over the horizon Green pastures a treat to the eyes Waves of wind over the yellow gems of rice Sparrows flying across the sky Leaves rustling Birds humming Crows cawing Clouds floating in the sun's red sea While hiding behind it  For us not to see.

One step at a time

One is often easily carried away with ambitions that hit them after getting a boost of motivation from an Instagram reel.  In most cases, this kind of energy fades eventually.  That does not mean that aiming high is a bad thing, just that try not to aim too high.  Like aiming for the moon when you are sitting on the couch while scrolling Instagram feeds. You first need to keep your mobile down. Stand up. Take a moment to collect yourself. Walk out the door to spot the moon in the first place. You might not see it if it isn't the right time of the day. If the timing is right, you need to observe all the phases of the moon. Then decide which phase it is that you desire. Then calculate the date on which you will see it again. Make sure you do not have second thoughts and understand that this is what you exactly want. Only after all this, do you find a way to reach the moon.  Before you reach your ultimate goal, there are obviously going to be preparatory steps along the...
