The time has come to revive the undead...
Well, HELLO! There is a high chance that nobody remembers this blog (even I have forgotten, lol). I have been wanting to start blogging again for quite some time now- like the hundred other things I have been wanting to do. However, something I came across - which I will share in later blogs - gave me the prompt to put my thoughts into action.
In a time of reflection this morning, I was pondering what went wrong along the way. I used to be able to do things. I used to get work done, but now all I do is cut a sorry figure for myself and self-loathing. One thing that I was able to bring to my attention is that if I do something, I try to do it properly or not do it at all.
What seemed like a good habit initially became the very thing that started pulling me down. At first, it made me more conscious of what happens if the things that I drive do not reach a good place. Then Procrastination joined the ride, along with Self-doubt, while Laziness took over the wheel.
Laziness is never a good driver. It doesn't drive at all. It wants you to pull over every time you feel a slight discomfort and relax, which will be alright for a while, but when you pull out the map and check your location, you will realise that you are nowhere near the destination or have hardly moved from your starting point, to be honest.
Perfectionism is good, but when that becomes the very reason that stops you from taking the next step, then it's time to do a self-check.
Nobody is Perfect. As much as it is a cliche thing to say, it's true as well. Humans are meant to be flawed. Mankind does not possess the liberty of perfection, which we lost the moment the fruit was bitten.
We are made from clay after all. The mistake that we make is forgetting who the Potter is. He is the one spinning the wheel and moulding the clay. He knows how to handle different clay in different ways. The clay is not aware of what it will become until it's finished. So, it's absolutely fine to not have your entire life figured out in front of you. All we can do is take comfort in knowing that we are in the hands of the best potter, who knows not a mistake.
The Bible is full of incredible characters that have done brave and unimaginable things, but does it describe anybody who can pass for being perfect except for Christ himself?
He takes the unworthy and makes them worthy. Moses had a speech impediment, but he called on him to save all of Israel. David was a shepherd, and he was made a king, but it doesn't stop there; even then, he was not a flawless person. Rahab was a prostitute, and she became a part of Jesus' genealogy. Paul, who calls himself the 'chief of sinners', ends up writing 13 books of the Bible, and there are so many other examples to quote.
Nice thought and beautifully crafted, the ideas are well-structured, and the overall flow is just spot-on. Fantastic work.
