Just keep swimming...

"Just keep swimming... Just keep swimming..."

You are right. You have probably heard Dory singing it before.

For reference, Dory is the cute blue tang in the film Finding Nemo and Finding Dory, that suffers with short term memory loss (we're talking 'only-a-few-seconds' short here.)

This line is Dory's mantra throughout her journey in the film.

Not one instance in the story did Dory play the victim.

She is always the happiest fish and also never fails to cheer up everyone around.

She did not let her past define her.

She always lives in the moment (literally lol)

Dwelling in the past never did anyone any good.

All it does is hinder your growth and create false hopes on things that you know for a fact is not gonna happen.

Despite getting lost for a million times, Dory found her home in the end.

All she did was, JUST KEEP SWIMMING...

The takeaway from Dory is that no matter how big of the biggest waves life rises at you; no matter how many fish-eating monsters chase you; no matter how dark it gets at the deep of the ocean, all you got to do is keep moving forward without looking back at the mishaps.

He does not want a Perfectionist.

The time has come to revive the undead... Well, HELLO! There is a high chance that nobody remembers this blog (even I have forgotten, lol). I have been wanting to start blogging again for quite some time now- like the hundred other things I have been  wanting  to do. However, something I came across - which I will share in later blogs - gave me the prompt to put my thoughts into action.  In a time of reflection this morning, I was pondering what went wrong along the way. I used to be able to do things. I used to get work done, but now all I do is cut a sorry figure for myself and self-loathing. One thing that I was able to bring to my attention is that if I do something, I try to do it properly or not do it at all. What seemed like a good habit initially became the very thing that started pulling me down. At first, it made me more conscious of what happens if the things that I drive do not reach a good place. Then Procrastination joined the ride, along with Self-doubt, wh...

Consistency is Key!

If there is anything that will take you places that you wanna reach in life, it's nothing but consistency. Expecting overnight results is making a fool of oneself. Continuous effort is what yields the fruit of labour. If you act like a monkey for ten years, you will be a damn good monkey by the end of it(not asking you'll to act like a monkey lol) .   It is the same with anything in life. If you wanna be a guitarist, play the guitar every day. Even if it is for just a few minutes, do it regularly. As days pass you will see a progressive change in your music than when you started playing it.   If you wanna be a writer, write every day. Be it a page or a phrase, do it without a break every day. As days pass you will have started thinking more than you did when you initially began and you will see a visible change in your style of writing. If you wanna build your muscles, exercise regularly. The muscles are not gonna pop in a day. It requires continuous work. If you wanna lose/ g...

... meant and not said, most love is lost.

"You gotta talk it out" "Communication is key" I know blah.. blah Those are things that are easier said than done. But since people keep saying it, shouldn't there be some truth to it though? According to a recent study, 67.5% divorces primarily occur due to poor communication. What's the point of being in love with someone if you don't tell them? People are not mind readers. They need to hear it. Humans need reassurance. "Between what is said and not meant, and meant but not said, most love is lost"                                                                                                                   - Khalil Gibran   Showing your lov...
